Celebrating arts, culture, and community in the Moodbidri Deanery

Our Story

'Rang Tarang' Cultural Organisation is a vibrant cultural initiative formed in 2025 to promote and celebrate the artistic talents within the Moodbidri region.

The group was formed under the guidance of Fr. Ronald Prakash Dsouza and through the leadership of five passionate individuals. Lloyd Rego Taccode, a poet and music composer; Sunil Miranda from Gantalkatte, a Sportsman and talented musician; Alwin Menezes from Gantalkatte, a skilled drama artist and community leader; Manohar Cutinha from Hospet, an experienced event organiser, singer, and Emcee; and Avil Dsouza from Paladka, a community leader and drama artist.

These founders showed a deep interest in creating a vibrant platform for artistic expression.

To build a strong foundation, they reached out to representatives from 14 churches across the Moodbidri Deanery. Together, they brought in members who shared a genuine passion for music, dance, theatre, literature, and folk arts.

'Rang Tarang' aims to provide opportunities for individuals of all age groups to explore, develop, and showcase their talents through training programs, workshops, and cultural events. The goal of the group is to foster a united and creative community that values and preserves the rich cultural heritage of our region.
